The MemorialCare Breast Center at Orange Coast Memorial

Breast Cancer screening

Fight with Grace has generated over $130,000.

Part of the world-class MemorialCare Cancer Institute at Orange Coast Memorial, the MemorialCare Breast Center is among the most highly regarded centers in the area. They offer a comprehensive team of experts that is completely dedicated to the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

To date, Fight with Grace has generated over $130,000 for the Breast Center at Orange Coast Memorial, helping to fund the purchase of digital mammography equipment, breast MRI technology and a stereotactic-guided biopsy device. These advanced diagnostic tools are saving lives by detecting breast cancer earlier and more accurately.

Proceeds from Fight with Grace have also helped Orange Coast offer breast cancer education and community outreach, providing much needed information to women in our area.

If you would like to receive an invitation to Fight With Grace, please provide us with your mailing address. Donations can also be accepted for the event. You will receive a thank-you letter with our non-profit information for your donation.

Mission Statement:

Fight with Grace is a community-based voluntary organization dedicated to raising funds to help in the fight against breast cancer, operating through the non-profit Vince Ferragamo Foundation ( Tax ID number available upon request)

History

In the spring of 2006 a dear friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout the course of her treatments and recovery we talked about making a positive contribution when she was feeling better. We brainstormed, got together the Christmas card lists of friends, found a fabulous committee and put on the first Fight With Grace Luncheon and Fashion Show. With no track record, we sold out the event and $42,000 was donated to Orange Coast Cancer Center. Each year we raised more money and in 2009, a $50,000 donation was made. We feel so lucky to have had two-time Oscar nominated song writer Carol Conners, actress Barbara Niven and the dynamic singer/actress Deana Martin as our celebrity hostesses. We are proud of our connection to Orange Coast and through our donations they have made significant improvements to their cancer center.
